First Timer

When you going for a first time to the Berlinale Film Festival to watch a movie, you think about a great day. Since you have your tickets in the pocket, you decide to not go earlier than 40 minutes. Yeah! that would be more than enough.
You arrive at the Friedrichstadtpalast, wow what a fancy place!
Ha & Je thinking, that’s good we have our tickets, we don’t need to stand in long lines. For sure it’s going to be a great day.
You go inside after 20 minutes and a very nice person scans your ticket. When you see inside that huge cinema, you realize how small you are; about 1895 people can be seated here. You see a lot of free spaces in the middle; “Lets seat there, it’s a very good spot.”
No, you both were wrong! These seats are not available! Apparently Germans have unwritten rules about going to cinema. Bring an extra jacket then you can reserve up to 9 seats just by putting your jacket over the seat.
Germany is one of the best countries in the world, no doubt, that’s totally right but, it doesn’t mean that anything they do is right. We wanted to shout loud and say “It’s not fair, first come first serve!”
You won’t fight with them. You even get angrier next day because you were suffering from neck ache…
